Bringing 20 years of insight from workplace and hospitality design, FRONT is set to shake up the industry in an all-new way.
What workplace revolutions are around the corner? How are suppliers keeping up with hospitality design demands? How should commercial designers be upskilling themselves to keep ahead for the future? As a workplace or hospitality designer, what are the key things you should know?
For the last 20 years, these are the types of questions Indesign Media Asia Pacific has been asking – whether in print, at live events, or debated online. And once again we’re setting the stage for commercial designers by evolving the format and pushing the industry ahead with FRONT.
We’ve always been a resource for design professionals, actively adding to the dialogue of the industry, in fact, the current issue of Indesign tackles WorkLife, and August will see a dedicated hospitality issue hitting shelves.

PwC Sydney by Futurespace, as featured on the cover of issue #72 of Indesign magazine, the WorkLife issue.
So how can we push the conversation forward? Quite simply, FRONT.
We’re taking everything we’ve learnt in the A+D space over the last 20 years – the brands we’ve worked with, the famous names we’ve interviewed, insights from the numerous events we’ve hosted – to bring you a leading event, tailored exclusively to the hospitality and workplace sector.
Pulling from a rich archive of industry knowledge, FRONT is more than a trade fair. It’s about building relationships and sharing knowledge. Two seminar series’ are in the works, titled WorkLife and PlayLife, both of which have evolved from past Sydney Indesign events. You can expect to see support from some of our illustrious alumni, including the likes of Geyer, Futurespace, Foolscap Studio, David Flack Studio, along with workplace consultants and ergonomists.
Stay tuned as we announce our FRONT ambassadors in the coming weeks, revealing a taste of what to expect.
FRONT will kick off in Sydney in August 2018. The two-day event promises to be the most mature, business-orientated and learning-driven evolution in commercial design.
