The results were eye-opening, particularly when it comes to plumbing products \u2013 40% of those surveyed said they had found non-conforming products in their projects and, of that figure, the highest percentage (21.6%) involved plumbing products.<br><br>The blame for this state of affairs lies not just with those who install these products. Everybody in the building product supply chain, including architects, is responsible for ensuring they comply with regulations and are fit-for-purpose.<br><br>So, what are the regulations surrounding plumbing products? What is the difference between \u2018non-compliant\u2019 and \u2018non-conforming\u2019 sanitaryware products? What are WELS and WaterMark and how do they relate to the NCC? And most importantly, how can you as an architect ensure you are meeting all your regulatory responsibilities?<br><br>This session answers these questions and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By the end of this session, you should be able to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Outline the ways the National Construction Code (NCC) regulates plumbing and drainage products in Australia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Define the terms \u2018Deemed to Satisfy solutions\u2019 and \u2018Performance Solutions\u2019 as they are used in the NCC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explain the differences between \u2018Conforming\u2019, \u2018Non-Conforming\u2019 and \u2018Fit for Purpose\u2019 products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outline the roles that WaterMark certification and WELS Ratings play in the compliance of
