True transformation celebrates what\u2019s already strong and finds smart ways to make it even better. \u00a0It\u2019s this approach that Sydney-based design and build firm PMG Group and global property and digital infrastructure group Goodman took when reinventing the Level 3 tenancy at Talavera Corporate Centre, 26 Talavera Road in Sydney\u2019s Macquarie Park. By focusing on intelligent reuse, a coastal-inspired palette, and elegant curves, the design team have showcased how strategic design interventions can completely reframe a once-ordinary tenancy. The result? A high-impact speculative suite designed to appeal as much to the senses as to the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PMG Group approached the project as an exercise in restraint. By retaining around 60 per cent of the existing furniture and 20 per cent of the built zones, reduced waste and preserved value without compromising on the design vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Circulation was reworked to create a natural rhythm between focused and collaborative zones, and new enclosed offices and formal meeting rooms were introduced to meet the needs of the modern workplace. The palette \u2013 sandy neutrals, blush tones, and blue accents \u2013 evokes the fluidity of the \u201cwaves\u201d concept, creating a serene atmosphere that encourages focused work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Curved detailing is found throughout \u2013 from wall panels to joinery \u2013 to create a space that feels welcoming and visually cohesive. Importantly, however, the space is also functionally welcoming, with textured wall panels that enhance acoustic comfort while reducing visual hardness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Material choices also play a powerful role in the transformation. Milliken flooring establishes the foundation of the scheme, with Mixed Formations, Made of Wood Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT)<\/a> in Gunnison Tan introducing a tactile, timber-like warmth to the circulation and break-out areas, while Milliken carpet tiles from the Poise<\/a> and Distinct Forms<\/a> collections add a subtle depth to the meeting room and waiting areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mixed Formations, Made of Wood LVT has been laid in an elegant herringbone pattern, combining the timeless appeal of timber flooring with the benefits and performance of vinyl flooring. The project is a showcase of how beauty, performance, and responsibility can co-exist \u2013\u00a0and the use of Milliken was key to achieving sustainability goals. Every Milliken product is carbon neutral as part of the company\u2019s ambitious M\/PACT\u2122 program<\/a>, an initiative that offsets emissions and supports verified environmental projects worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Impressively, the project was delivered while neighbouring tenancies remained active. The result was flexibility and wide market appeal with a strong sense of identity. With Milliken flooring providing the foundation for the new fit-out and a carefully considered palette designed to stand the test of time, it\u2019s a workspace that will retain this appeal for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
