Moving into a new apartment with his wife offered chef-owner Wu Si Han of Supply & Demand, the modern Italian trattoria at Esplanade, the chance to rethink what a home kitchen could feel like. Rather than replicating the precision and pace of his professional kitchens, he set out to create a space that feels elegant and quietly capable, designed around the ease and pleasure of preparing meals at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That design direction is closely tied to his role as Gaggenau\u2019s culinary partner, a title he has held since 2022 as the luxury brand\u2019s first Singaporean spokesperson. With more than 300 years of heritage in craftsmanship and innovation, Gaggenau echoes the values behind his cooking. The collaboration continues to evolve, moving from the restaurant environment into daily life at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs a professional chef, I wanted a home kitchen that performs like a professional space but feels calm, efficient, and timeless for daily living,\u201d he says. \u201cGaggenau delivers precision and reliability without compromising on design, allowing the kitchen to remain functional yet understated.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His minimalist home kitchen sits open to the living area, an arrangement that encourages conversation and allows cooking to be part of daily interaction. The open-plan setting influenced his selection of Gaggenau appliances. His favourite is the framed 200 Series Flex Induction Cooktop<\/a> with integrated ventilation, which eliminates the need for a traditional hood and maintains visual calm. \u201cThis is my favourite appliance,\u201d he shares. \u201cThe flexibility and built-in ventilation keep the space clean and open, and allow me to feel more connected to the people I\u2019m cooking for in the living area. The precision of the cooktop also helps me achieve the perfect results in my cooking.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 400 Series Oven and Combi Steam Oven sit at the centre of his daily workflow, supporting everything from meal prep to comfort cooking. \u201cThe ovens offer consistency and control, with features like sous-vide that support meal prep for my wife and me,\u201d he says. The Combi Steam Oven even eliminates the need for a rice cooker, keeping the kitchen visually clear and efficient. Directly below the ovens is the 400 Series Vacuuming Drawer, which supports ingredient prep and storage, extending freshness, reducing waste and bringing more structure to his cooking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hosting and daily washups are easier too, thanks to the 400 Series Dishwasher<\/a>. Recently married in June 2025, he notes that the appliance is a quiet game-changer for newlyweds, removing the need for post-dinner negotiations about dishes and keeping evenings relaxed. \u201cIt has been a lifesaver,\u201d he says with a smile. \u201cIt also makes hosting easier and saves so much time, water and energy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next to it, a 200 Series Wine Climate Cabinet refines the way he entertains, allowing him to house and serve wine with precision. Two independent temperature zones ensure each bottle can be paired thoughtfully with food and occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 200 Series Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer with Heat Pump offer gentle care with steam assist technology that refreshes clothing without a full wash and reduces wrinkles by up to 50%, ideal for chefs\u2019 workwear and helping to minimise ironing. \u201cThe washing machine and heat pump dryer, together with the 400 Series Oven, Combi Steam Oven and dishwasher, are all smart appliances, allowing me to easily control specific features directly from my mobile phone,\u201d he shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
